“NNNnnhh!” Buffy eyed the mess resulting from her battle with the demon. “I hope I won’t be expected to pay for the damage. I don’t think my allowance will cover it.”
“Hopefully the establishment has insurance.” Giles picked himself up off the floor. “Although they might not be covered for Act of Demon.”
“That would be sort of the flipside of Act of God, wouldn’t it?” Willow brushed plaster dust from her hair. “So, probably not.”
“There should be an insurance category for Stuff Happens.” Buffy lifted a shelf off Xander and offered him a hand up.
“Weird Stuff.” Xander looked around what was left of the small shop. “Stuff Happens might work for the rest of the country, but this is Sunnydale. The only stuff that happens around here is various levels of weirdness. We should have our own insurance categories, including one for vampire inflicted blood loss.”
“And one to cover getting demon ick out of rugs.” Buffy pulled a face at the greenish stain. “We could’ve dealt with it, picked it up and taken it with us, if it hadn’t gone all… melty.”
Giles polished his glasses. “Yes, well, we should probably leave before anyone comes back.”
