A/N: Double drabble.
If someone had asked Dee, even a few years ago, he would have said he had no intention of settling down, not with anyone. He was too young, and besides, it was more fun playing the field. Love ‘em, then leave ‘em before they could get too serious about him; that was the way to live.
Now here he was, head over heels in love with the man of his dreams. The only thing that could possibly make him any happier was if they were living together, although he knew enough to realise that if he asked Ryo to move in with him right now, the answer would be no.
Dee understood why, and that was the reason he’d never asked; Ryo had Bikky to think of, and at least for the time being, the boy had to be his priority. It had been difficult enough for Ryo, as a single man in a high-risk job, to get approved as Bikky’s foster parent. Moving them both in with another man would give Social Services a stroke.
But in a couple more years, Bikky would be eighteen; perhaps then Dee could ask Ryo to move in with him. He could wait.
