Yellow was Ryo’s favorite color and had been for as long as he could remember. It made him think of sunny days, and sandy beaches, and bright flowers, the sorts of things that lifted his spirits. It was just too bad that it didn’t suit him, making his fair skin look sallow and unhealthy.
It didn’t stop him buying yellow things though; his pot of sunflowers on the windowsill, a rug in yellow and brown for the lounge, a print of autumn leaves for the wall of his bedroom, crockery decorated with yellow flowers…
No other color was so cheerful.
