Summary: The team think they’ve cracked Jack and Ianto’s secret code. They’re wrong.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.
A/N: Double drabble.
Whenever Jack strode into the Hub, calling out that he and Ianto were going Weevil hunting, the other three team members would look at each other and smirk; they all knew that Weevil Hunting was code for going off somewhere to shag each other’s brains out. Or so they believed.
Actually, Weevil Hunting was code for Weevil Hunting. The rest of the team didn’t seem to get that, with the Weevils being an ongoing problem, it was often necessary to round up and tag newcomers. It was also a good idea to keep a lookout for potential problems before trouble could boil over, things such as overcrowding in the more popular sections of the sewers, what Weevils saw as the more desirable neighbourhoods, and check for above-ground nests in the most rundown areas of the city. Paying attention to things like that meant the team had fewer rogue Weevils to deal with.
No, when Jack and Ianto wanted to slip away somewhere to shag each other’s brains out, which they often did, the only code they needed was a raised eyebrow and a tilt of the head from Ianto, or Jack fingering his braces. Body language worked better than words.
The End
