Tosh looked sadly at her winter coat. It might not have been the height of fashion, but from the moment she’d tried it on she’d known it was perfect for her. Rich purple, with a fur-lined hood and matching trim around the cuffs, it had served her well for the past three winters, but now one sleeve had been torn right off thanks to a particularly nasty alien that had already killed Jack.


Gwen and Ianto had killed the alien before it could rip her arm off, though her shoulder was badly wrenched. Back at the Hub, Owen had patched up the team’s wounds before offering to drive Tosh home. She’d accepted gratefully; it was cold out and she no longer had a wearable coat, she’d have frozen half to death waiting for the bus.


Back home, injured arm in a sling, Tosh fumbled in the back of her wardrobe for her warmest jacket; it would have to do until she could go shopping and get herself a new coat.


Returning to work several days later she found a surprise waiting for her. She stared in disbelief at her coat; it looked good as new!


“Thank you, Ianto!”


“You’re welcome.”
