Summary: On the run from the government, the three remaining members of Torchwood must steal what they need.

“I thought my life of crime had ended when I was a teenager,” Ianto grumbled. “Now here we are, reduced to stealing what we need.”
 

“We don’t have the cash for the expensive items,” Jack reminded him, “we need what we’ve got for the little things, like food, and we can’t use our credit cards without pinpointing our location.”
 

“I know that. It’s just a bit… demeaning, having to swipe laptops off people. Bloody government. If they hadn’t decided to destroy our base and hunt us down we’d probably have these aliens licked by now. Instead, they’re turning us into common criminals.”

 
“Don’t worry, Ianto.” Gwen smiled reassuringly. “I learned a lot about stealing when I was with the police. I can tell you what to do.”
 

“With all due respect, Gwen, I don’t need lessons in how to steal. I’m perfectly capable, it’s not like I’ve never done it before.”

 
“Right.” Jack nodded. “You got arrested for shoplifting when you were in your teens.”
 

Ianto smirked. “Only once, and that was a fluke. Never got caught all the other times.”
 

“One ex-juvenile delinquent, one ex-copper, and one ex-conman.” Jack smiled brightly. “Between us I think we’ve got this covered.”
