“We need to find someone in authority!” The Doctor turned in a full circle. “An event like this has to have a steward running things; that’s who we want.”

 
Rory was scanning the crowds too. “And when we find the steward, what’re we supposed to tell him? Sorry, but you’ll have to shut this race meeting down because we think some of the horses have been replaced by shapeshifting carnivorous aliens?”

 
“A parasite,” Amy said. “Deadly. Some of the horses may be infected. It could kill them if left untreated.”

 
“That should work.” Rory grinned at his wife. “You’re brilliant!”
