Summary: Ryo has bought something for his and Dee’s new office.

“What’s that?” Dee asked as Ryo entered their new office, carrying something in the crook of one arm.

 
Ryo looked from his partner to the thing he was carrying and then back to Dee, frowning. “It’s a plant. What did you think it was?” As far as he was concerned, the leaves poking out of the plastic wrapping were a dead giveaway.

 
“Yeah, I can see it’s a plant…” Dee started.
 

“Then why did you ask me what it was?” Ryo had been in a good mood when he’d arrived, but now he was getting confused, and a bit annoyed.
 

Dee shook his head. “Can we start over?”
 

“Fine with me.”
 

“Okay. What’s with the plant?”
 

“I thought it would brighten our office up a bit.”
 

“Brighten how? It’s green.”
 

“That’s because it’s not flowering yet…” Ryo trailed off. “Oh. I forgot about your hay fever.”
 

“It’s fine, I’m takin’ allergy meds.”
 

“So you don’t mind? It’s just, keeping plants will help with the air quality in here, absorbing the carbon dioxide and giving out oxygen.”

 
Dee studied the plant as Ryo unwrapped it, setting it on the windowsill. “It looks kinda lonely. Maybe we should get a few more.”
