Bo was far and away the best lover she’d ever had, better than Nadia, although it still stung to admit that. Nadia was supposed to be her forever love, Lauren had thought she’d spend the rest of her life with her, but it hadn’t worked out that way.

 
Nadia’s death had hurt, but if Lauren was honest, however much she’d loved her girlfriend, she’d fallen for Bo the moment they’d met. How could she not?

 
Nevertheless, taking a break from their relationship was the right thing to do. Bo was fae, Lauren wasn’t. How could they have a future together?
