“Stuck in New York in the past.” Rory smiled apologetically. “Sorry.”

                                                    
“Don’t be. At least we’re alive and we’re together. The rest doesn’t matter.”
 

“But…”
 

“But nothing. Will I miss travelling with the Doctor? Of course. We both will. But we’ve been there and done that, and as much fun as it was, it was never going to be forever.”

 
“We had it all though. The whole of space and time.”
 

“We did, for a while, and it was amazing. I’ll never forget any of it, but it wasn’t the highlight of my life. That will always be marrying you.”
