Summary: Faith tried running away, but now she’ll have to fight if she wants to live.

A/N: Double drabble.
 


 
After her Watcher had been killed, Faith hadn’t known what to do. She’d been alone, the only person she could trust ripped to shreds right in front of her, and she’d known Kakistos wouldn’t stop there. He’d kill her next.

 
There’d only been one place she could go: Sunnydale, California. Her Watcher had said there was another Slayer there, Buffy Summers, and where there was a Slayer there would be a Watcher, some guy called Giles if she was remembering right. If Faith could get to them, she’d be… not safe, but better off than she was on her own.

 
Except, she couldn’t tell them what had happened, couldn’t bring herself to confess her failure. She should have done something, anything, but she hadn’t. Her Watcher had died, and Faith had just… run, like a coward. She should have stood her ground and fought like she’d been trained to, she’d taken out dozens of other vamps, but Kakistos was too strong, too powerful, and Faith hadn’t wanted to die.

 
Deep down she’d known she was just delaying the inevitable, hiding from Kakistos was impossible, and now he was here to finish what he’d started.
 

But this time, Faith wasn’t alone.
