Summary: Jack and Ianto’s wedding is causing an unexpected reaction in one of the team.

A/N: Double drabble.
 


 
This being a Torchwood wedding, no one had honestly expected it to go off without a hitch. Weddings seldom did even when Torchwood wasn’t involved, and when they were… Suffice to say, only six people still remembered all of Gwen’s wedding; the other guests all agreed it had been lovely, but they were a bit hazy on the details, hardly surprising considering how much retcon-laced champagne had been consumed.
 

There were fewer guests this time around since neither Jack nor Ianto had much in the way of family. Alice and Steven were there, Rhiannon, Johnny, and the kids, Martha and Tom, the Doctor and his current companions, Gwen, Rhys, Tosh, and Owen; that was it. Just as well really, considering the chaos the Doctor had caused by releasing the squinches he’d brought with him.

 
None of that mattered now though. The happy couple were stood before the officiator, repeating their vows as the guests looked on.

 
There was a quiet snuffle from beside Tosh and Owen pulled the handkerchief from his breast pocket.
 

“Owen? Are you okay?” Tosh whispered.

 
“Fine, just got something in my eye, that’s all. Maybe I’m allergic to those stupid flying things.”
 

Tosh hid a smile.

Regular Owen, I prefer my characters alive. He's a sentimental idiot under the bad-tempered exterior, and maybe he's also thinking of what might have been for him and Katie.

I understand you wanting your characters alive. I mostly write Phil alive. Only occasionally leave him dead if it makes for a better plot.

I sometimes leave Owen and Tosh dead, but it's sad.

What do you do about Owen when he's dead, but not dead?

I write him dead but walking, lol! I think I have a time or two, but I don't write him that way often.

I mostly write him aliv, but I sometimes just leave Jack, Iano and Gwen alive. It depends.

It's whatever works for the prompt or the bunnies. Some day I think I'll kill Gwen off, just for the fun of it.
