Klaxons are sounding throughout the submarine, an intruder alert, which is ridiculous because the vessel is currently a mile beneath the ocean, and people don’t just drop in unannounced.

 
“What is it, a glitch in the systems?” the watch commander demands of a subordinate.

 
“No, sir. According to instruments, something’s just appeared in the engine room.”
 

“Security to engine room!”
 

The security team arrives to find a blue wooden box tucked into a corner, a strange man in its doorway.
 

“Don’t mind me, just stopped by to make repairs to my ship. Couldn’t borrow a cup of grease, could I?
