A/N: Double drabble.
Flatpack furniture held no fear for Dee; he’d been constructing such furnishings for years. They were ideal for the orphanage, cheaper than readymade shelves and cupboards, easy to transport in a decent sized car, and relatively light for carrying and moving around. As long at the shelf units were safely secured to a solid wall there was no danger of them toppling over and injuring a child, so that was another point in their favor.
With the Blessed Hope Orphanage’s recent move to new premises following the bombing, a lot of furniture needed replacing, so Dee had volunteered to put everything together. Ryo, despite not being much of a handyman, had offered to help. After all, how hard could it be to follow instructions and screw a few pieces of wood together?
Dee had gotten him started on some of the smaller items, and he’d been doing fine. He’d already put together three small sets of shelves and two nightstands with no trouble at all, but now he was having difficulties.
“Dee! I need a hand!”
“What’s up?” Dee poked his head around the doorway.
“I’ve trapped my shirt between two pieces and now I can’t get the screws undone!”
