Summary: Trapped in a mausoleum with people who weren’t human, Willow’s sure she’s going to die.

Willow had thought she was being daring, taking charge of her life, actually talking to a boy. It had been a huge step forward for her, and she’d hardly even stammered! He’d seemed interested in her though, which was kind of a first, and suggested going for ice cream, something Willow happily agreed to. Who didn’t like ice cream?

 
But instead he’d led her into one of Sunnydale’s cemeteries, which was nowhere near the right direction for the ice cream parlor, and then he’d dragged her into a mausoleum, and his face had changed… The last of her courage evaporated.
 

Faced with a dangerous situation, most people reacted in one of two ways: fight or flight. Willow found a third option: freeze. She couldn’t move, could barely speak, or even breathe. She was just a teenage computer geek; what could she possibly do against someone who wasn’t even human?
 

She felt a momentary surge of hope when Xander and Jesse joined her, but they weren’t alone either, and were no more capable of fighting than she was.
 

So much for seizing the day.
 

No way were they getting out alive, not unless a superhero showed up to save the day…
