Mrs Gwendolyn Post was infuriating in her arrogant superiority. Giles pitied whoever had married her, he could only imagine what she must be like at home. The way she sneered oh so politely and looked down on everybody like they were idiots who should be grateful she was being generous enough to share her encyclopaedic knowledge and unmatched wisdom with them…
 

“Don’t you know?” her expression conveyed, as she tutted and sniped something about not expecting miracles.

 
He’d thought his Slayer and her friends a tad unruly and not always as focused as they might be, often trying his patience to its limits, but Mrs Post…
 

If he weren’t trying to be a good role model for the younger generation, he might have been tempted to give the insufferable woman a piece of his mind. But antagonising her wouldn’t do anyone any good, not with this Lagos somewhere in Sunnydale seeking some all-powerful glove. Difficult as it was sure to be, they needed to work together in order to prevent such a dangerous object from falling into the wrong hands.

 
So he took a deep breath, held his tongue, and secretly wished that something excruciatingly awful might happen to her.
