Summary: The Doctor really shouldn’t have done that…
Disclaimer: I don’t own Doctor Who, or the characters.
Even sentient space and time ships sometimes break down, so when the TARDIS suffers engine failure it’s not entirely unexpected. She’s been making some weird noises recently, which the Doctor should have checked into sooner, but he’s been a bit busy.
Still, the timing is inconvenient.
“Not now! The Skarren ship’s getting away; we’ll never catch it!”
Two hours later, the TARDIS is still drifting in space as the Doctor hobbles around, trying to fix the problem.
Clara is completely unsympathetic.
“It’s your own fault, and you know it. Maybe that will teach you not to kick the TARDIS console.”
The End
