Summary: Nosy gets to explore another part of the Hub, under Ianto’s supervision.

For Nosy the Fluff, every day was proving to be an adventure. Its first few days on earth hadn’t exactly been fun, lost and alone, getting chased and shot at, with nothing except the abundant sheep for company, but ever since it had been found by its new friends and brought to the Hub, everything had been so much better.

 
It didn’t lack for company now, there was always someone around, day and night, and there were so many things to learn and do, so much that it found itself goggling at new things several times a day! Back on its home planet, it had only found new things to goggle at every few weeks.

 
The Hub was a big place, and so far, Nosy had only been allowed into a few parts of it, but today…
 

“Well, young Fluff,” Ianto had said that morning. “How would you like to come down to the archives with me today?”

 
“Hummmm!”

 
“You’ll have to be good and not touch anything unless I tell you it’s safe.”
 

That was sensible, and Nosy had been quick to agree. So here it was, exploring the archives with Ianto, and what a marvellous adventure that was!

I liked this but don't understand Nosy. Is he (is he a he?) a canon character? He has coils, so what the heck is he? He isn't human, some sort of octopus like thing? Snake like? I'm thinking he's also fuzzy like a sheep but maybe not?

I was so curious about him I went searching for more information and found another story or two featuring him. I liked all of them.

Nosy is my original character and the star of my Nosy-Verse stories (see the Nosy-Verse Master List here https://badly-knitted.dreamwidth.org/1102195.html). It was only supposed to be a one-of character so the team could meet a friendly alien for once, but it proved so popular I wrote a sequel, and now I've been writing stories about if for the last 14 years, lol!

It's not male, or female, in the way humans would think of gender, Fluffs bud their young, so it's generally referred to as an 'it'. Not that Nosy cares either way. It's over five metres of very furry snakelike alien, with a head sort of like a deer's, large, round green eyes, and no visible ears. It's also empathic, quite intelligent, and can change colour in a similar manner to a chameleon. Nothing is fluffier than a Fluff!
