Summary: Joyce is oddly uncomfortable at the thought of buying candy for Halloween.

A/N: Double drabble.
“We should get some candy for Halloween,” Buffy told her mom, who was writing a shopping list.
Joyce twitched uncomfortably; she couldn’t help it. “Are you sure that’s wise?”
“Of course it is. We don’t want to be the only house on the entire street that doesn’t have any. Trick or treaters can be little monsters if they don’t get their candy. Or would you rather have your car egged, and the tree in the front festooned with…”
“Alright, alright,” Joyce interrupted, sighing heavily. “You’ve made your point; we’ll get some Halloween candy. But nothing with chocolate in it. I’m never touching chocolate again, not as long as I live.”
Buffy frowned. “Oh. OOOOOH! Fine, no chocolate, if you insist, but I promise anything we buy in town will be perfectly safe, mass produced and guaranteed free from curses, nothing like the band candy. All that was destroyed.”
“I just don’t want to take chances. You have no idea how it felt to be regressed, acting like an irresponsible teenager. I thought I’d left all that behind, the insecurities, the thoughtlessness, trying to impress the cool boys…”
“I know what it’s like being a teenager. I live that every day.”
