Summary: Weevil hunting can be dangerous.

A/N: Double drabble.
 
 

Although most people would probably disagree, Jack and Ianto found Weevil hunting fun, exciting, exhilarating, a real adrenaline rush. Chasing the toothy aliens through the streets and alleys of Cardiff, capturing the dangerous rogues and microchipping the newcomers, was all part of the job for Torchwood agents, but while the rest of the team carried out the task willingly enough, they didn’t relish it the way their boss and his lover did.
 

Tonight, the two men were in pursuit of a particularly feisty youngster, not a rogue as such, just a juvenile male approaching maturity who’d been forced out of his pack. Most likely he’d challenged the pack leader and lost; there was evidence of injury, so the plan was to capture this one and take it to the Hub for treatment before releasing it into a different section of the sewers, where another pack might welcome it.

 
The plan had been for Jack to circle around and block their quarry’s escape route, but Ianto had the Weevil down, hooded, and sedated by the time his lover limped up to join him, looking a bit worse for wear.
 

“What happened to you?”

 
Jack grimaced. “Roadworks. I fell in a hole.”
