Summary: One of the Hub’s resident aliens has escaped.

Nosy the Fluff slithered through the Hub, hot on the trail of the latest escapee. Technically, chasing down runaways wasn’t its job, but in Torchwood everyone pitched in whenever help was needed, and Nosy knew its way around the team’s underground base better than most. It could also go places humans couldn’t.
 

Dizzy slinked along behind its parent, ready to be deployed into any holes too small for the adult Fluff. Fortunately, anywhere too small for Dizzy to fit would be too small for their quarry to use as a hiding place.
 

Then again, technically the escapee wasn’t trying to hide. Pat the Kneeble simply liked to go walkabout whenever the opportunity presented itself. He was sneaky, but also greedy and a bit on the plump side; getting stuck in holes was how he usually got himself re-captured.

 
Having the Fluffs help out at times like this saved the rest of the team from getting all hot and bothered, running around trying to search everywhere at once, worried that Pat would get himself jammed somewhere they’d never find him.

 
“Good work,” Ianto praised the Fluffs, when they returned, Nosy carrying a protesting Pat. Nobody was better at search and rescue.
