Summary: Dee has changed his mind about hiking.

A/N: Double drabble.
It had come as a bit of a shock to Dee when he’d learned that his new work partner liked to go hiking. For FUN! Whenever he had the time, he’d get up early, drive out of the city, put on boots and a backpack, then walk for miles around state parks, in all kinds of weather, and he claimed to ENJOY it! Some people were weird in ways that Dee simply couldn’t fathom.
When Dee had a day off from his exhausting job as an NYPD detective, he used it to rest and recover from the stress and strain of adult life. He’d sleep late, have a big breakfast somewhere around the middle of the day, then watch sports on TV. Occasionally, if there was no avoiding it, he’d do chores, then order takeout for dinner as a reward.
That was four years ago though. Now, here he was, hiking with Ryo on their day off, breathing fresher, cleaner air, feeling stress just melt away. When they reached the top of this hill, they’d stop for a rest and take in the view. Amazingly, hiking was way more relaxing than sleeping late, then staring at the TV all afternoon.
