“There, there,” the Doctor soothed, patting the distraught woman’s hand. “You’ve had a nasty shock, but you’ll be fine. Why don’t I make you a nice cup of tea?”
 

“Oh, yes, thank you.”
 

The Doctor slipped back inside his TARDIS, leaving the woman to continue staring blankly at the blue police box, standing rather conspicuously right where her television set used to be.
 

“Here you go!” The Doctor said, returning with a steaming cup. “You drink this.”
 

The woman accepted the cup, sipping distractedly.
 

“Sorry about your television, but there was something very nasty inside it. You’re quite safe now.”

I'm imaging my living room with a police box. I wonder how it would handle the irregular surface, being littered with books, yarn, craft stuff in general, magazines, and who knows what else.
