JJ was always so helpful, at least in his own opinion he was, especially when it came to the people he cared about. A year or so ago, that would have included Dee, but by now he’d given up his tireless yet hopeless pursuit of the man he’d at one time considered the love of his life. Now, he aimed his helpfulness towards someone who appreciated it far more than Dee ever had.
Drake was perfect for JJ. He was a good detective, but he was completely hopeless at taking care of himself, so JJ had made it his mission in life to take care of his partner, who was now also his boyfriend. He made sure Drake always had enough to eat, fussed over him whenever he was injured, showered him with small gifts, made sure he always looked his best…
“Hold still, Drakey, you have a loose thread.” Grabbing the end, JJ made to break it off, gave it a tug, and to his surprise, Drake’s sweater started to unravel. “Oh! Oops!” He stared for a moment, then shrugged. “Don’t worry, Drakey, it’s fine, I’ll just get you a new sweater, a better one that won’t come unravelled.”
The End
