Being a parent was wonderful, most of the time. Ianto loved his kids, even the twins now they were starting to act more like small people and less like demon spawn. He enjoyed his parenting days, was happy to arrange playdates for his son and daughters, and supervise other people’s children, who were mostly polite and well behaved when they visited.
It did, however, mean that when the kids were having friends over, the Fluffs had to go to the Hub, or spend their time in the Fluff jungle gym on the ground floor. Not that the Fluffs minded; they enjoyed taking a break from their responsibilities as much as Ianto enjoyed getting to spend time among adults when it was his day to work.
Today, the twins had a playdate with six or seven of their friends. All those kids, plus his youngest daughter, might have been a bit much to deal with indoors, but it was a sunny day, so they were at the park, and there were other parents on hand.
“Taddy!” Jenna tugged at his sleeve. “We want to play football. Will you play with us?”
“Of course, sweetheart.”
“Good, we need you for a goalpost.”
The End
