Summary: Working for Torchwood, you never know what you’ll find yourself having to do.

Ianto picked up a bit of meat with a pair of long metal tweezers and poked it towards the nest.

“Here, have a bit of rat. Mmmm, juicy rat!”

It was quickly gobbled up.

“Have another bit of rat! Make you grow big and strong. Hopefully.”

That was quickly gobbled up too.

“More rat?”

“How’s it going?” Jack asked quietly, settling down beside Ianto.

“She's eaten almost a whole rat,” Ianto replied. “You can do the next feed. Never thought we’d be foster parents to a de-aged pteranodon!”

“We got lucky. At least we’re not having to incubate an egg.”

At least they are sharing the parenting task of feeding Myfanwy???!!

They're taking turns, so each of them can still get their own work done between feeds. It will be easier when she can tear up a rat for herself though, at the moment feeding her is very time consuming!

Parenting in Torchwood... *smirk* Jack did have a good point though I'm sure Ianto would have come up with some method to keep his pet!

Ianto would have thought of a way - heat lamps, heat pads and thermal duvets probably - but I keep getting an image of Jack sitting on the egg, trying to keep it warm....

Maybe Nosy would be better at incubation duty, lol!

So true, you never know what you'll be 'mother' to next!
