I'm scared to pick up a book in here, there is no literature in here. How sad I know. I have a book on herbs, photoshop, which I never really succeed with, school books from college days, etc. I might find one in the TV room. I have most of my stuff on shelves in there and they are very "dusty".

Mine is the novel I'm supposed to be reading, though I think I've only read 3 pages in the last 2 weeks. It got bogged down in not very interesting plot in the middle, so I can't gather enthusiasm to read it at the moment. If I can get past this dull bit, it might pick up again. Or maybe it's just me, I get halfway through a book and lose interest. I'd rather read fanfic!

Also, I have lost the comment, you said your mail was acting stupid, not letting you read some of my posts. Has that gotten better? That sucks! My Yahoo mail has been acting stupid ever since I updated. I'm really mad at them!

LJ is back up, but my email problem is ongoing - has been a mess for weeks since it was upgraded. To answer emails, I have to write my reply in a text document, then copy & paste into the email reply. If I type it in the reply window, I risk losing everything I've written when the bloody things logs off or stops working for no reason. Grrrr! If it works, don't fix it. First LJ has made it difficult for me to post, now my email doesn't work half the time. Both should have been left as they were!

It is a strange coincidence that both our emails were updated at about the same time and both work badly. When I open an email sometimes it just sits there about half open for a bit and then opens. In all the years with them, they have never done something like this. Also it looks different which I hate. Can't get used to it and I hate the colors and new or old features that they have rearraged so I have to hunt for them! grrrrrrr! I want my old one back!

I like having an online email that my hubby or anyone else can't see or don't bother with. My other one is not online if you know what I am talking about. When I open it, it downloads straight to the house through the Internet. Anyone can click on the button and see it though I don't think Michael spies on me. Well I don't really have anything to hide either so I'm just blabbering on here....I do worry about him seeing the fanfic I read so I use Yahoo mail for it, but he probably knows. I have a silly folder on my desktop that says "fanfic" lol!...and there seems to be very little het. fanfic out there that I know of + when I have read it, except for "The Xfiles" with Dana Scully & Fox Mulder, I got bored. Weird.

Het just seems so everyday - been there, done that, lol! I don't bother to read much. I did read one yesterday, technically het though not explicit, yet still Jack/Ianto - Jack accidentally got turned into a woman. Of course, they just had to try out Jack's new body! I hope to read the sequel tonight if I have time, but I've been watching Dancing On Ice and bidding on an ebay auction, so I haven't had much time for fanfic this evening!

It's quite fun, and so is the sequel, though that's mostly about Owen and Tosh (Owen is also temporarily a girl - not that Tosh minds!)

Exactly! Plus, it's Owen who she likes anyway, and he makes a pretty girl, and there's only one shower.... They're so cutely awkward around each other with Owen temporarily female, but they have a good time, lol!

I must read the rest of it. Still not got to it. I'm interested to see how it turns out. I do wish they had been "a little" more NC-17 with Jack & Ianto fooling around. I have a pretty good picture on how that went. "Jacks the girl finally!" Go Ianto!!! lol!

PS. Good Tosh icon, I have a hard time finding Tosh icons that do her justice. She's so pretty, but sometime her pictures don't look so great, to me anyway. I may snag this one too. :)

There are good Tosh icons out there, but they take a bit of finding. She's very pretty, but a lot of the screen captures seem to get her when her expression is, well, less than flattering!

Yeah, I would have liked more action, but not everyone is comfortable writing explicit scenes - I don't think I could ever do it, even though I love reading them!

Oh, I understand. I've never written fanfic so I guess I did not think about how hard or embarrassing it might be for some people to write. Not sure if I could either if I was a writer. I made A's in composition in college, but I have never tried to write something on my own and I was not a book worm, though I read some. So not sure if I could even write one. :)

Well, you know me, I can write fluff but that's it. I might manage a tiny bit of angst now and then, but smut is beyond me, I can't work out all the positioning and who's doing what to whom. I'm scared if I tried there would be a few too many limbs floating around or I'd have them doing something even a contortionist couldn't manage, lol! I'd rather just read it instead of trying to write it. Fluff, on the other hand, is relatively simple for me. I think it's what my brain is made of!

I like fluff too and a bit of angst now and then. The ones that make me cry in a good way I like, but the sad ones, well they are just so awful even if the writer does a terrific job writing it. :)

Not sure what my brain is made of...probably saw dust. hee!

Hee! Didn't the scarecrow in Wizard of Oz have sawdust for brains? And he turned out to be smart! If it's sawdust, you have nothing to worry about =)
