Summary: Dee has caught a bad cold.

A/N: Double drabble.




This time it wasn’t Ryo who’d caught a cold but Dee; at least it meant he was easy to find. His sneezes echoed throughout the precinct and Ryo simply followed them, tracking Dee to the break room, where he sat slumped on the sofa, eyes watering and nose streaming. He reminded Ryo of Rudolph, but he kept that to himself.


“You should probably go home.”


“I’b fide,” Dee managed, blinking blearily up at his partner. “Id’s jud a code.” He hadn’t meant to sit down, had only come in here to get some coffee, but then the sneezing fit had started and it had seemed safer to sit rather than risk falling over. His sneezes tended to be rather forceful.


“Maybe so, but you’re spreading germs. By now the whole squad’s probably got your cold.”


“Tough.”


Ryo chuckled. “Thought you might need these.” He handed Dee a box of tissues and a packet of cold remedy.


Dee managed a weak smile. “Thags, bud.”


“Anytime. You’d do the same for me.” Fetching a cup of water from the cooler, he made sure Dee took his meds.


Sagging on the sofa, Dee caught his breath. He wasn’t letting this cold beat him.
