Summary: Ianto is gradually recovering from a nasty alien ailment.

A/N: Double drabble.




Jack was immensely relieved knowing Ianto was finally on the mend. Rigellian measles could be an extremely nasty disease, and because poor Ianto had never been inoculated against it he’d suffered very badly.


Thankfully, the spots were fading and although his skin was still a bit blotchy here and there he was looking more like his normal self. The spots on his hair were completely gone, something Ianto was particularly pleased about. It meant he could comb and wash his hair again, which hadn’t been possible during the spotty phase as it had been too painful. Having sore hair was no fun.


There was a certain amount of residual weakness and he tired quickly, but as long as he got plenty of rest and fresh air a full recovery was assured. That was why the Doctor had brought them here, to a quiet pastoral planet where the weather was warm, the sun not too bright for hypersensitive skin, and there was plenty of grass.


Stretched out on a blanket in the shade of a large tree, Jack and Ianto watched Sparkle grazing nearby.


“How are you enjoying your holiday now?” Jack asked.


Ianto smiled. “I could get used to this.”
