A/N: Double drabble.
 


 
All five members of the Torchwood team had been exposed to an alien fungal infection. It wasn’t anything life-threatening, or even particularly serious, and in fact would probably clear up on its own in a week to ten days, but they were all contagious and the last thing any of them wanted was for it to spread to Cardiff’s population. If people suddenly started sprouting purple gill-like fungi on their necks it might cause a panic.

 
So as soon as the fungal growths started to appear, Owen had hustled everyone through decon, in their clothes, spraying them with an alien fungicide that would kill off the spores as well as the fungus itself. It would not, however, tackle the parts of the fungus beneath the skin.
 

“It’s a simple enough treatment,” Owen insisted, waving a fresh syringe. “One injection a day for three days. I already did myself; who’s next?”

 
Ianto raised his hand. “Don’t want the fungus growing back; it gets in the way of my tie.”
 

“That’s the spirit!” Owen grasped Ianto’s arm.
 

“A small prick,” he warned as he jabbed the needle in and injected the syringe’s contents.
 

Ianto smirked. “Sure you want people knowing that, Owen?”
