Disclaimer: I don’t own Doctor Who, or the characters.
Donna tracked the Doctor down to a small kitchen tucked away near the TARDIS’s library. He was sitting at the table, nursing a cup of tea.
“Is there enough for two? I could murder a cuppa.”
There was no response.
“Oi, spaceman!”
Finally, he lifted his head, blinking sadly at Donna through the steam rising from his cup.
Pulling up a chair, Donna sat down. “There’s no use sitting here brooding; you did what you had to. Can’t save everyone all the time, right?”
“If I’d got there sooner…”
“You saved a lot of people.”
“Three died.”
“And ninety-five didn’t.”
