Last night hadn’t been the first time Dee had slept over at Ryo’s since they’d become lovers. Ryo had Bikky to look after, so they only spent the night together at Dee’s apartment if Bikky was away at camp or staying at a friend’s.
 

Usually there’d be a mad dash in the morning, with the three of them all trying to get showered and ready for work, or in Bikky’s case, school. This morning only two of them had been fighting over the bathroom, because while Dee still had to get to work on time, Ryo had the day off. Sometimes their shifts just worked out that way.

 
It sucked worse on this occasion than it usually did. Dee hated the thought of going to work without his partner, hated it even more when Ryo was still in his pjs, looking rumpled, drowsy, and utterly gorgeous.
 

“You should get going or you’ll be late.”
 

“Don’t remind me,” Dee grumbled.
 

Ryo handed him a bag. “Here, take this with you.”
 

“What is it?”
 

“Lunch. I was fixing Bikky’s anyway; it didn’t take any longer to fix two.” Ryo blushed.
 

Dee’s heart swelled. “I ever tell you how much I love you?”
