drabble_zone.Setting: After Like Like Love.
Summary: Ryo and Dee arrive home with their Christmas groceries, but did they get everything?

A/N: Double drabble.
Unpacking a multitude of grocery bags on the kitchen counter, Ryo frowned, gnawing anxiously on his bottom lip. “Do you think we’ve got everything we need? I keep feeling like I’ve forgotten something important.” Pulling out his shopping list, he started checking what was on it against what he’d bought.
“Babe, if there’s anything missin’ it’s too late now to worry ‘bout it. If it wasn’t on your list, we don’t need it anyhow.” He cast his eyes over the array of groceries and other items. “From the looks of this lot, I’m surprised there was anything left for anyone else. Do we have any money left in the bank?”
Ryo turned his frown on his lover. “Of course we do! I’ve been putting money aside for Christmas since before I moved in with you. None of this came out of the household account.”
“Seriously? Why not? I mean, isn’t that why we started a joint bank account, for groceries, bills, and stuff?”
“Yes, but…” Ryo trailed off, smiling ruefully. “Since adopting Bikky, I guess I’ve gotten into the habit of saving up for Christmas.”
“Well, how ‘bout this year I pay for the booze?”
“Drinks! Knew I’d forgotten something!”
