Summary: Somehow Ianto has become Torchwood’s designated one-man clean-up crew.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.
A/N: Double drabble.
Ianto still wasn’t sure how he’d wound up in charge of clean-up. The task wasn’t listed under his job description, he’d checked, and yet on top of being Jack’s personal secretary, archivist, handyman, mechanic, coffee provider, zookeeper, and the person in charge of the Tourist Office, whenever there was a mess to deal with outside the Hub, her got lumbered with the job.
He disposed of bodies, both alien and human, cleaned up goo, gunge, slime, blood, entrails, and other body parts, swept, mopped, scrubbed, and tidied people’s homes and businesses, repaired damaged property, and basically made it look like nothing untoward had ever happened.
“Why do I always get left cleaning up your messes? It’s bad enough you lot don’t tidy up after yourselves at the Hub, but now you expect me to play janitor and street sweeper as well.”
Jack paused at the alley’s entrance, looking back at the spatters of alien bits decorating every surface, the smears of blood and other fluids, and Ianto in the middle of it all wearing overalls and wellies.
“I thought you liked cleaning.”
“Nobody likes dealing with this.”
“Someone has to, and you’re so good at it.”
“Too efficient, that’s me.”
