Summary: Ryo is despondent after failing to save a life.

“It wasn’t your fault, babe,” Dee insisted. “You did everything you could. Hell, you went above and beyond! No one could’a done more.”
“It wasn’t enough though.” Ryo said, despondent over his failure.
“Can’t save ‘em all. Sometimes it’s just time.”
“I know. It’s just… If I’d noticed sooner, maybe I could’ve rescued him before it was too late.” He gazed sadly at the sodden, dead moth laid out on a tissue, its pale-yellow wings all crumpled.
“It was a heroic effort, but it drowned itself. You’re not to blame for it decidin’ to take a swim in your beer.”
