“I’ll tell His Excellency you’re here,” the doorman, a withered little old alien with silvery fur, said. “Please wait here.” Leaning heavily on a pair of canes, the ancient servitor turned and began to inch his way infinitely slowly down the long hallway towards the reception room at the far end. Five minutes passed, and in that time, he’d only covered a distance of about twelve feet.
“We’ll be waiting here all day at this rate,” Donna complained. “I’ve seen faster snails.”
“Nobody hurries around here,” the Doctor replied cheerfully. “What did you expect from a race of intelligent sloths?”
