Slayers should not have to repair their own clothes. Not that Buffy isn’t able to do so, as long as the damage isn’t too severe, but honestly, doesn’t she already have more than enough to do? Between school, homework, slaying, and whatever social life she can squeeze in, what chance does she have to get out needle and thread, or turn the sewing machine on, to fix all the little, and not so little, tears her clothes keep suffering?
Sewing on buttons and fixing seams that have pulled apart is one thing, but there’s not a lot that can be done about rips in the fabric, unless she wants to resort to patches, which might be fine for some things, but would make her a laughingstock at school. On the other hand, stitching a cute little motif over a hole in her top should mean she can wear it for a while longer, even at school. She might start a new fashion trend!
If only she could make quick and easy repairs to her body. She heals fast, something she’s eternally grateful for, but the same thing that caused the hole in her top resulted in her needing two stitches!
The End
