A/N: Double drabble.
If only suspects and criminals would come quietly instead of resisting arrest, Dee thought to himself. Why did the majority of them think that trying to run away when the police came after them would be a good idea? It just added more charges, such as resisting arrest, assaulting a police officer, public endangerment, reckless driving, or in this case, reckless skateboarding, which also added a theft charge, since the skateboard didn’t belong to the fugitive…
The moment the idiot had seen the police coming towards him, their badges clearly displayed on their belts, he’d snatched the skateboard out of the hands of a nearby kid, dropped it to the ground, jumped aboard, and set off along the sidewalk at speed. Naturally, Dee and his partner had given chase; they weren’t about to let their suspect get away if they could help it, but dodging pedestrians and road traffic wasn’t Dee’s idea of a fun afternoon. At least people were jumping out the way.
With a clear path ahead of him, Dee lengthened his stride, and before the fugitive could reach the end of the block, made an impressive flying tackle, bringing him to the ground.
The applause was appreciated.
