A/N: Triple drabble.
No cop particularly wanted to get into a fight with whoever he was trying to arrest, but it still happened, and use of a firearm wasn’t always practical or safe. As detectives, Dee and Ryo didn’t even get to carry a nightstick; aside from their sidearms, all they usually had were their tasers, and whatever hand-to-hand combat skills they knew.
Dee was grappling with the suspect, had him pinned face down on the ground, trying to get the cuffs on him, but the way the fool was kicking and squirming, it was like trying to handcuff an animated plate of spaghetti. Ryo was dealing with the suspect’s two buddies, who had to be a bit short on brains, because they hadn’t been in any trouble at all, until they’d decided to assault a police officer.
The worst of the situation, at least in Dee’s opinion, was that he was too busy with his wrestling match to watch his partner fight two opponents at once. That was a shame, because it would have been a treat to see Ryo wipe the floor with those two losers. By the time he got the cuffs secured, the fight was over, and Ryo was having to borrow a set of handcuffs from one of the uniforms who’d just arrived on scene. Dee hoped at least one of them might have caught some of the fight on bodycam.
“You okay, bud?”
Ryo turned to Dee as the two idiots were loaded in the back of a patrol car. “Fine, just a few bruises. How about you? From what little I saw, it looked like you were having a bit of trouble.”
“Yeah, Wrigley should be re-named Wriggler. I was tempted to slam his head into the sidewalk, but I don’t need a police brutality charge.”
