Does anyone happen to know if it's mentioned anywhere in Torchwood or Doctor Who exactly when and/or how Jack came into possession of the Doctor's severed hand?

I've been asked for a drabble on the subject but I don't have time to watch all of Torchwood and the relevant Doctor Who episodes in the hopes of possibly finding something about it.

Nope, it's not mentioned in any of the televised canon. There's a vagueish reference in one of the books about him getting it after the fall of Canary Wharf but no details or dates. Sorry.

Going from televised canon... he just has it from the start of the series.

Which works, because Canary Wharf happens pre-series one. Yeah, I think I'll go with that - he gets it from the wreckage of Torchwood one, digging through their archives to salvage everything he can.

I don't need actual dates, I just didn't want to contradict canon. Most of the time I don't care about canon anyway, lol! I'm being perverse this time, I wanted to get it right and not have people saying "But it didn't happen like that!"
