Summary: Dee is less than impressed by the vehicle he and Ryo have been assigned.

A/N: Double drabble.
“Worthless piece of junk!” Dee complained, aiming a kick at the rear wheel of their unmarked sedan, which had inconveniently died on them halfway across a busy intersection. They’d had to get a couple of patrol officers to hold up traffic while they pushed the car the rest of the way across, and into a nearby fast-food joint’s parking lot, so now here they were, with a car that wouldn’t go, waiting for a tow truck. “Only thing it’s good for is the scrap heap!”
Ryo leaned against the side of the car, watching his partner rant at the vehicle.
“That’s not what you were saying earlier. As I recall, you were thrilled about finally getting to drive one of the newest cars from the motor pool. I believe your exact words were ‘Way better than the old clunkers we usually have to make do with’.” He didn’t bother trying to hide his amusement.
“Yeah, well, that was when I thought we’d been handed somethin’ roadworthy.” Dee gave the car’s rear wheel another vicious kick. “Just proves they don’t make cars like they used to; the new ones don’t last five minutes. In future, I’ll stick with the old clunkers.”
