Summary: In Dee’s opinion, smartphones have turned people into idiots.

A/N: Double drabble.
“Look at ‘em,” Dee said with a sigh.
“Who?” In the driver’s seat, Ryo looked around, wondering which particular people his partner was referring to.
“All of ‘em! Everywhere ya look, it’s the same! Ever since the invention of smartphones, practically everyone ya see, on the street, in bars, in restaurants, in shops… Noses buried in their phones. Accidents lookin’ for a place to happen.”
“Except they’re not looking,” Ryo pointed out. “Or at least not looking where they’re going.”
“My point exactly! They don’t check for traffic at crossings, and they get mad when they bump into someone ‘cause they weren’t payin’ attention to the world around ‘em. Guy across the street almost walked into a signpost just now. Smartphones have turned people into idiots.”
“A lot of them were already idiots, Dee.” As a cop, Ryo knew for a fact that many people didn’t use the brains they were born with.
“Well yeah, I know that, but still…” Dee trailed off. “There’s our guy, and would ya look at that? Eyes glued to his phone. Let’s go pick him up. This is gonna be almost TOO easy.”
“Providing none of the other phone zombies get in our way.”
