A/N: Double drabble.
With the new layout of Dee’s expanded apartment, which he and Ryo would soon be sharing, some of the old furnishings would need replacing. One thing they were going to need was a living room suite, a sofa and a couple of chairs, or maybe two sofas.
“Thought maybe we could go take a look on our next day off, see what’s available in our price range,” Dee told his partner as they headed back to the precinct after interviewing an assault victim in Bellevue.
“Good idea,” Ryo agreed. “Nothing made of leather though.”
“Probably couldn’t afford it anyway; real leather suites cost the earth.”
“And they’re hell to sit on in hot weather. Everything sticks to them, and then in winter they’re cold, and it’s hard to keep them looking nice, always waxing or polishing them to keep them from drying out and cracking.”
“Okay, okay, you’ve made your point. No leather, real or fake. Fabric it is.”
“And no light colors; they show every mark.” Ryo blushed faintly. “Sorry, I don’t mean to sound so picky.”
“Hey, it’s fine, I don’t wanna buy anything you’re not gonna be happy with. That’s why I wanna go furniture shoppin’ together.”
