A/N: Double drabble.
Aliens running loose in Cardiff could be problematic, which was putting it mildly. The Weevils, for the most part, kept to the sewers, although strays and rogues did have to be rounded up occasionally. They weren’t out and about in daylight though, only late at night when most of the people on the streets had been drinking and were less likely to pay attention to weirdness.
This time it was broad daylight, and although the team was out at one of the industrial parks, where anything unusual was less likely to draw attention to itself, it would still be better if they could deal with the current alien situation quickly, with the minimum fuss.
The main issue was one of size and visibility; amid the grey expanses of concrete, an almost six-foot-tall bright red alien with stilt-like legs was rather difficult to overlook. It was also surprisingly fast, skittering along on its four multi-jointed legs with the speed of an Olympic sprinter.
The team had been chasing it around the warehouses and businesses for almost half an hour already. They were tiring fast, but the alien wasn’t, until rounding a corner, it went sprawling.
“Ha!” Owen grinned. “I tripped it!”
The End
