There are moments in life when time just seems to drag, endlessly, the seconds ticking past so slowly they feel like years, until it seems you’ve been waiting for something, or someone, for half of eternity already. Waiting for a boring meeting to end. Waiting impatiently for the bus, taxi, or train that will take you to meet your date. Knowing you’d wait forever for that one special person to even notice you exist.


Sometimes they never do.


But sometimes, JJ thought, smiling at Drake, if you’re very lucky, you find someone better, and that’s worth any amount of waiting.
