Summary: Ryo and Dee take some visitors out for a day trip on their boat.

“Welcome aboard,” Ryo greeted his guests, helping his aunt and uncle onto the deck of the cabin cruiser Bikky had gifted him with a few months earlier.


“My goodness! It’s a lot bigger than I was expecting,” Aunt Elena exclaimed. “And you actually take it right out on the ocean?”


“Of course!” Ryo said with a laugh. “It’s the best way of escaping the stresses of work.”


“We can go anywhere we like, long as we have enough time and fuel,” Dee said from where he stood at the helm, ready to fire up the engine. “Won’t be goin’ far today though, since we’re back at work tomorrow. Just a short hop up the Long Island coast to enjoy the scenery.”


“It sounds wonderful.”


“It will be,” Ryo assured their guests. He hopped down onto the smooth, sun-warmed wooden planks to cast off as the engine roared into life, then tossed the mooring ropes onto the deck and leapt back aboard with practiced ease to coil them up ready for use as Dee steered away from their mooring.


With the sun shining, a light breeze ruffling their hair, and calm seas forecast, conditions were perfect for a leisurely day trip.
