Summary: Buffy knows she can always turn to Angel when she needs someone to talk to.

It was strange. Buffy had good friends, she had her Watcher, she even had her mom now that she’d outed herself as the Slayer, but even now, after everything that had happened, the one person she found it easiest to talk to about… everything, was Angel. They could never be what they used to be to each other, what they were becoming before everything fell apart, but he still understood her better than anyone else ever had, and she still trusted him to be honest with her, to give her good advice when she needed it.

 
Those months after she killed him, while he was trapped in the Hell dimension, were the longest and most difficult in her life. She hadn’t realised how much she’d come to rely on his wisdom and sense. Even before then, when he’d been evil, he’d known exactly what to say to her, and yes, back then everything he’d said had been intended to hurt her, and it had, but… That had just proved how well he knew her.

 
And now that she seemed to be losing her Slayer powers, she needed him more than ever. His strength was all she had to lean on.
