Summary: Dee is really proud of his scary Halloween costume. He’s not the only one.

Dee checked his appearance in the mirror and grinned; oh yeah, this was his best Halloween costume EVER! He was done up as a seriously creepy zombie, courtesy of Macey and her mad skills with make-up, and he had the shambling walk down to an art; he’d been practising at home for weeks, watching every zombie movie he could get his hands on. He was ready to scare the pants off everybody at the precinct’s Halloween party.


Arriving at Ryo’s apartment to pick his lover up, he knocked on the door, then struck a zombie pose. The door opened…


“Brainssss,” he moaned.


“Ack!” Ryo leapt backwards, nearly tripping on his bat wings.


Dee doubled over laughing. “You should see your face!”


“Dammit, Dee, that wasn’t fair!”


“How do I look?”


“Disgusting. There’s nothing sexy about zombies. I prefer what you wore last year.”


“This year I plan on winnin’ the prize for best costume. You ready?”


Arriving at the party, Dee paused before making his grand entrance. Something brushed his hand and he turned, expecting Ryo. Instead, an eerie figure loomed, glowing faintly and rattling chains.


“WOOOOO!”


“Argh!”


JJ laughed. “Scared you!”


Dee shuddered; nothing was spookier than a ghost.
