Summary: There’s a hurricane raging outside but Ryo still has to get to work.

A/N: Double drabble.
Bad weather had been forecast the night before and this morning Ryo had woken to high winds and lashing rain. Schools were closed and everyone was being advised to stay home if possible.
Being a cop meant that wasn’t an option for Ryo; he’d be needed at the precinct, but getting there wouldn’t be fun. Buses weren’t running and according to the morning weather report, parts of the subway system were closed due to flooding. He’d have to drive.
“Keep an eye on Melinda next door, okay?” Ryo told Bikky, pulling on his coat ready to face the storm.
The boy nodded. “You’ll be careful out there, won’t you?”
“Always. Don’t know if I’ll be able to get home tonight though, it depends on how bad the storm gets.” There was a possibility of winds up to ninety miles an hour later in the day.
Just as Ryo was about to leave there was a knock on the door; he opened it to find Dee standing there.
“Hey. Figured we could ride into work together.”
“You drove all the way over here in a hurricane to give me a lift?”
Dee shrugged. “Why not? Saves using both cars.”
“You’re certifiable!”
