Summary: Dick and Dee are having to stay indoors because of the weather.

Front paws on the windowsill, Dick the dachshund stared out at the raging blizzard and gave a pitiful whine.

 
“You and me both, buddy,” Dee agreed gloomily.
 

Ryo dragged his attention away from the book he was reading. “What’s up with you two?”
 

“Me and the mutt got a bad case of cabin fever, cooped up indoors. Can’t take him for a proper walk in this, all he’s gettin’ is a few minutes out on the sidewalk to take care of business, then back inside.”

 
“Aren’t you the one usually complaining about having to walk the dog?”
 

“Yeah, I know.” Dee threw a wry smile his lover’s way. “Call me crazy, but I think I’m kinda gettin’ to like it. A bit of fresh air, gentle exercise, happy mutt sniffin’ at everything… Not so great in weather like this though.”

 
Setting his book aside, Ryo ambled over to the window, staring out at the swirling flakes. “Must be almost knee deep by now.”

 
“Way too deep for His Royal Longness; it’d be over his head. Can you drown in snow?”
 

“Suffocation would be more likely.”
 

“Looks like we’re stuck inside until it stops.”
 

“Better than being stuck outside.”
 

“I guess.”
